This year, Apple has not yet revealed any new gadgets, but that should change in February. Powerbeats Pro 2 will be available at least next week, and there's a good likelihood the MacBook Air will receive an upgrade this month.

In terms of software, the first iOS 18.4 beta should be made available this month, and Apple is anticipated to reveal a brand-new "Invites" app shortly.

We provide a summary of what to anticipate from Apple in February below.

The "Invites" app

The iOS 18.3 code references to a possible new "Invites" app from Apple that would assist users in planning meetings and other events were found by 9to5Mac last month. According to the source, the app would integrate with iCloud, which would allow event invites to sync across Apple devices and be accessible online at iCloud.com.

"Confetti" is the codename for Apple's forthcoming iCloud-based service, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg over the weekend. According to him, users would have a "new way to invite people to parties, functions, and meetings."

Update: On iCloud.com, the term "Apple Invites" was disclosed. According to the page, iCloud+ will support Apple Invites, and an Apple Invites app is probably in the works.

Powerbeats Pro 2

Apple said last year that the Powerbeats Pro 2 might be available in 2025. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported a few days ago that Apple will reveal the wireless earphones on Tuesday, February 11, with a $250 price tag in the US.

With integrated, adjustable ear hooks for a snug fit, Powerbeats Pro are a sportier, fitness-focused substitute for AirPods Pro. Gurman claims that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will have the same H2 chip as the AirPods Pro 2, allowing for better active noise cancellation than the Powerbeats Pro.

When MLB player Shohei Ohtani wore the Powerbeats Pro 2 in Apple's teaser film last year, it showed off a thinner, more vertical design than the original Powerbeats Pro, which debuted in 2019.

We already found that Powerbeats Pro 2 would allow you to track your heart rate while doing out. Our analysis of the iOS 18 code indicates that you may use the Powerbeats Pro 2 to monitor heart rate by connecting it to exercise equipment, such as a treadmill. The information will be shown in the iPhone's Health app and other compatible applications.

Additionally, the iOS 18 code disclosed that Powerbeats Pro 2 would come in four new colour variants, including the eye-catching "Electric Orange."

The Powerbeats Pro 2 may also have better sound quality, a longer battery life, and a USB-C port on the charging case rather than a Lightning port, based on other recent Beats headphones.

A brand-new MacBook Air?

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that new MacBook Air models will be revealed "earlier" than certain other gadgets that are rumoured to be released this spring, such the iPad 11 and iPhone SE 4. Since he has stated time and time again that the new MacBook Air models are already in production, it appears that they might be released as early as February instead of March or April.

The M4 CPU, Thunderbolt 4 connectors, and other features are probably going to be included to the next 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models.

iOS 18.4 Beta

Sometime this month, the first iOS 18.4 beta should be made available.

Several new Apple Intelligence capabilities for Siri, including as on-screen awareness, deeper per-app controls, comprehension of the user's personal context, and more, are anticipated to be included in the software update.
