Last year, Huawei surprised smartphone fans by introducing the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, the first triple-screen foldable phone in history. Samsung is prepared to launch its own tri-fold phone in retaliation against the competition. The first multi-fold phone was hinted about by the South Korean company at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. The device's potential name has now been hinted at in a fresh online leak. It is anticipated that the Samsung Tri-fold phone would have a 10-inch screen.

Following the naming convention of its Z Fold series, tipster Yeux1122 on the South Korean blog Naver proposed that Samsung's multi-fold phone would be dubbed the "Galaxy G Fold." According to the tipster, who cited industry insiders and display analyst Ross Young, the phone will go on sale in January of next year.

The alleged Galaxy G Fold from Samsung is rumoured to have a 9.96-inch screen, which is bigger than the 7.6-inch screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. When folded, it reportedly measures 6.54 inches. According to reports, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design and Samsung's tri-fold phone have different folding mechanisms. The display of the next phone is reportedly able to fold inward from all sides thanks to a folding mechanism.

That the Galaxy G Fold will weigh roughly the same as the "H" is mentioned in the blog post; this could be a reference to Huawei's Mate XT Ultimate Design. But it's predicted that Samsung's tri-foldable phone would be a little thicker. According to reports, the Galaxy G Fold will make use of recently created screens and protective coatings.

Samsung's Head of Products and Experiences Office, Jay Kim, gave a quick preview of the company's long-rumored tri-folding phone at the just-ended Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. It is anticipated that the brand will produce 3,000,000 copies (or fewer) of the triple folding phone, which is reportedly expensive.
