We were taken aback by Apple's new Invites app today, which is intended for organising events such as baby showers, holidays, and birthday celebrations. In our most recent video, we tested it out to show you how it functions, what you can do with it, and how to utilise all of the app's features.
You may download Invites as a stand-alone software from the software Store, but it also comes with the iCloud+ subscription. To make an invitation to an event, you must have an iCloud+ membership; however, to attend an event, you do not need a subscription. Actually, an Apple device is not even necessary. Similar to how iCloud functions on any device via a browser, those without an Apple device may be invited to an event, join, and view event information via a web browser.
The procedure of creating an event is easy. An interface that guides you through each step appears once you hit the "+" button. Some of the backdrops that Apple provides include emojis, while others are event-appropriate and include balloons, confetti, popcorn, and other items. If your device has Apple Intelligence, you can also use picture Playground to create a picture or select one from your Photos app.
You may add an event title, date, time, and location after choosing a backdrop. You can also give a description with important information for your visitors. During and after the event, all participants can add to a shared album that has been set up.

When an event is prepared, you may make a link that you can distribute by email or Messages to a group of individuals. Sending separate invites with a different URL for each recipient is another option, but doing so requires granting the app access to your contacts. You may either enable approvals so that anybody who asks to attend must be approved, or you can let anyone who has the link join. Event planners have complete control over event cancellation, details, and participant removal.
You may tap in and select if you can attend, not attend, or perhaps attend if you receive a link to an invitation. Every invitee as well as the event planner

For events that are weeks or months away, the weather information will be broad; but, as the event date draws nearer, the information will become more precise. When you tap the location listing, a map with turn-by-turn directions will popup.
The chosen playlist may be played from the Invite interface, and invite makers can include comments that are distributed to all participants to provide them updates on an event that is coming up. All guests will have access to the photos, which may be posted to shared albums at any time.
You may swipe between events you've established and events you're attending in the Invites app, which displays events in a card-style layout. There are areas in the app for previous events and drafts you've made but haven't
