Price and specifications of the newly released Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip and a 5,500mAh battery

The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra, the company's newest phone, has been released in international countries. It has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. With features including a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel triple back camera setup, the phone appears to be a repurposed ROG Phone 9 Pro. It comes with a number of AI functions including a gimbal-like stabiliser for the primary camera. The 5,500mAh battery of the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra can be charged at 65W via cable and up to 15W wirelessly.

The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra is available in three different colours: Sage Green, Sakura White, and Ebony Black. In Taiwan, the phone costs NT$29,990 (about Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model and NT$31,990 (about Rs. 85,300) for the 16GB + 512GB model.

The 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixel) Samsung E6 AMOLED LTPO display of the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra, which runs Android 15, has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The display is said to have a maximum brightness of 2,500 nits and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz for gaming. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the screen. Its internal components include a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, an Adreno 830 GPU, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

With a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 1/1.56-inch sensor with gimbal OIS, a 13-megapixel super wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of vision, and a 32-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom, the Asus Zenfone 12 super boasts a triple back camera arrangement for taking pictures and recording videos. It has a 32-megapixel RGBW camera on the front. Numerous AI-based camera functions are available, including AI Night Vision, AI Object Sense, AI Portrait Vide, AI HyperClarity, and 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabiliser. Users will be able to take better videos with the Gimbal stabilising tool. AI Wallpaper, AI Transcript, and AI Call Translator are more AI features.

5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC, a 3.5mm headphone connector, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity features available on the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra. An accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, ambient light sensor, and hall sensor are among the sensors installed on board. It features face recognition and an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra has a 5,500mAh battery that supports both 15W wireless charging under the Qi 1.3 standard and 65W cable charging. It is water and dust resistant thanks to its IP68-certified construction. The phone weighs 220 grammes and has dimensions of 163.8 x 77.0 x 8.9 mm.
