In honour of the legendary cartoon series' 25th anniversary, the new experience makes its premiere. Users can choose the new environment when the Paramount+ app launches on the smartphone. This transports them to the well-known Bikini Bottom, complete with spots like SpongeBob's pineapple house, Patrick Star's rock, and Squidward Tentacles' home.
The environment changes when customers begin streaming content on Paramount+. The screen shifts to a location close to SpongeBob's residence as the sun sets in Bikini Bottom. The actual character shows up, enjoying a popcorn while seated.
Another new feature of the Paramount+ app update is an interactive game that allows players to catch jellyfish. Users can catch jellyfish using a net that appears on the screen by staring at them and tapping their fingers together.
Disney+ unveiled a new Iceland environment yesterday, created in association with National Geographic. Apple also included a Lake Vrangla environment, and visionOS 2 will include a Bora Bora option that will launch later in 2024.
