It has been announced that the Redmi Note 12 5G series will debut on January 5 in India. Redmi's newest Note series is anticipated to launch in India with the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G versions. A 200-megapixel primary camera sensor is anticipated to be the star feature of the top-tier Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G edition. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera sensor has been verified to be included on the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G variant smartphone. On Twitter, a business official also posted camera sample images taken with the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G phone.

Alvin Tse, the general manager of Xiaomi India, posted some sample photos taken with the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, which the company has branded the "Super Note," on Twitter. The tweet claims that the 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS) capabilities of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone, which made its debut in China in October, would be carried over to India. According to Alvin Tse, the Redmi Note 12 5G Pro model smartphone has the ideal combination of software and hardware tools for taking dynamic and interesting pictures.

Sumit Sonal, another business official and General Manager, Marketing, Xiaomi India, also used Twitter to discuss the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone's photography features in-depth before it launches in India in a few days.

Sumit Sonal also provided example screenshots to support the company's claims about the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone's photo-taking ability. The tweet claims that the smartphone's 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera sensor helps to collect more light, resulting in a more detailed and superior shot. An official from the firm used photographs of buildings in various colours that were captured in natural light outside to show the capabilities, which the company claims supports its claim that the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has one of the greatest colour reproduction in its segment.

The Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ were introduced in China by the Chinese business in October. It has been reported that all three of the lineup's smartphones will arrive in India on January 5. Smartphones with comparable features and specs to the models released in China are anticipated for the India launch.

A fourth Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition in the series with better charging capabilities was also introduced at the China launch. However, it has not been confirmed whether this would also launch in India.

The dual SIM (Nano) 5G smartphone Redmi Note 12 Pro is anticipated to go on sale in India. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM, and a Mali-G68 GPU, and runs Android-12-based MIUI 13.

The 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor make up the Redmi Note 12 Pro's triple rear camera configuration, which also supports optical image stabilisation. The smartphone will include a 16-megapixel selfie sensor for taking pictures of oneself. A 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging powers the device.
