Tuesday saw the introduction of Poco C50, the brand's newest model in the C-series family. The MediaTek Helio A22 SoC powers the new entry-level smartphone from the Xiaomi sub-brand, which boasts a waterdrop-style notch display. There are two different colour options, two RAM settings, and two storage options for the Poco C50. An AI-backed 8-megapixel dual camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging capabilities are some of the Poco C50's standout features. The Redmi A1+, which made its debut in the nation in October of last year, is precisely what the new Poco phone is—just renamed.
Poco C50 cost and availability information
The cost of the new Poco C50 in India is Rs. 6,499 for the entry-level 2GB RAM + 32GB storage model. Priced at Rs. 7,299, the 3GB + 32GB variant is available. Sales will begin on January 10 and it is presently available on Flipkart in the colours Country Green and Royal Blue.
For a limited time only, Poco is selling the new gadget for Rs. 6,249 and Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB and 3GB RAM versions, respectively. It is unknown how long this rate will be available.
The Redmi A1+ was introduced in India in October of last year for a starting price of Rs. 6,999 for the entry-level 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variation and Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB + 32GB version.
Poco C50 technical details
The dual-SIM (Nano) Poco C50 has a 6.52-inch HD+ (1,600x700 pixels) touchscreen with a 120Hz touch sampling rate and runs Android 12 (Go Edition). The selfie camera is housed in a waterdrop-shaped notch on the display. An octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC and up to 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM power the new Poco smartphone.
The Poco C50 has an AI-backed dual rear camera array with an 8-megapixel main sensor for optics. A 5-megapixel sensor is located at the front of the device for selfies and video calls. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, and a microSD card can be inserted into a special slot to increase the storage capacity up to 512GB.
The Poco C50 has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, Beidou, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack as connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor located on the back and an accelerometer for identification.
On the Poco C50, Poco has included a 5,000mAh battery. It is capable of 10W charging. The phone's dimensions are 76.45 x 164.9 x 9.09 mm, and its weight is 192 grammes.
