The newest wristwatch from the Chinese electronics company, the Xiaomi Watch S2, was revealed on Sunday along with the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones. The successor to the Xiaomi Watch S1 comes with a 46mm or 42mm display choice, Bluetooth calling capability, and direct wrist voice call acceptance. More than 100 sports modes are supported by the Xiaomi Watch S2, which also has a body composition measuring capability. Additionally, it has a heart rate monitor and a blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) metre. According to claims, the Xiaomi Watch S2 can run for up to 12 days on a single charge.

Priced at CNY 999 (about Rs. 11,800) for the 42mm display model and CNY 1,099 for the 46mm display model, the Xiaomi Watch S2 is available now (roughly Rs. 13,000). With options for leather or silicone straps, the new smartwatch is available in colours of Black, Light Gold, and Silver. Right now, China is where you can get it.

There have not yet been any announcements regarding the Xiaomi Watch S2's introduction in India and other international regions.

Specifications of the Xiaomi Watch S2

The circular dial on the Xiaomi Watch S2 smartwatch has a pixel density of 353ppi and is available with 1.43-inch and 1.32-inch displays. The resolution of the AMOLED display is 466 x 466 pixels. The wearable is compatible with handsets running Android 6.0 or iOS 12.0 and newer versions and is powered by MIUI Watch OS.

Over 100 sports are available on the recently released Xiaomi Watch S2, including walking, cycling, hiking, football, jogging, and skipping. Along with a stress monitor, a continuous heart rate tracker, female health tracking, and sleep monitoring, it has a blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) metre. Additionally, it has a body composition measuring tool that provides findings for eight different types of body health data. On the Watch S2, Xiaomi has incorporated a brand-new safety monitoring function that enables users to quickly send SOS and geolocation notifications in case of an emergency. Additionally, it includes built-in functions including alarms, reminders, a stopwatch, and message notifications.

The wearable's built-in microphone and speaker enable users to accept and reject calls from their wrists, and it supports Bluetooth v5.2 for communication. Additionally, the smartwatch supports NFC for contactless payments. Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS are other communication choices. The wearable's water resistance rating is 5ATM.

The 500mAh battery powering the 46mm Xiaomi Watch S2 is supposed to provide up to 12 days of battery life on a single charge. On the other hand, the 42mm model has a 305mAh battery that is said to provide up to 7 days of operation on a single charge.
