Poco's India Head, Himanshu Tandon, tweeted that the X5 series might be released in India shortly. In response to a tweet from a tipster detailing future smartphones by big manufacturers, the business executive made a suggestion about the release of the new smartphone series. The alleged Poco X5 series smartphones have previously been spotted on certification websites including the Bureau of Indian Standards, Singapore's IMDA, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Compulsory Certification of China (3C), and Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) (BIS).

Himanshu Tandon, the head of Poco India, reacted to a tweet from tipster Yogesh Brar outlining potential smartphone launches for this month, January, and February. The Poco X5 series was not on the list, which prompted Tandon to ask, "Poco X5 series?".

The statement from the business official raises the possibility that Poco would introduce more than the vanilla Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro editions of the Poco X5 smartphone line.

Earlier, the 22111317PG model number for the stock Poco X5 smartphone has been discovered on the SIRIM certification website.

Meanwhile, the BIS certification website reported the appearance of an Indian-specified Poco X5 with the model number 2211317PI. Another smartphone with the model number 22101320I has apparently been seen in the Indian certification website database, supporting the claim that the Poco X5 Pro variant has passed BIS certification.

The report claims that the worldwide form of the Poco X5 Pro has also passed 3C, IMDA, and FCC certifications with the model number 22101320G.

Some important details of the alleged Poco X5 Pro model smartphone were exposed by the FCC listing of the worldwide variation. According to the listing, the smartphone will ship with a 4900mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging and runs MIUI 14 on top of Android 13.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC is expected to power the standard Poco X5, while Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G+ SoC is expected to power the Poco X5 Pro variant.

It's crucial to remember that Poco hasn't released any official information on the Poco X5 Series' specs, features, launch date, or price.
