The Poco X5 series has apparently been discovered on the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia's (SIRIM) certification website database. This series is anticipated to comprise the Poco X5 5G and Poco X5 Pro 5G. The gadgets have already been discovered on the IMEI, BIS, and FCC databases. According to a source, the POCO X5 5G may be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G that features a 6.67-inch AMOLED full-HD+ 120Hz display and runs Android 12 with MIUI 13 OS. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC is expected to power the Poco X5 5G, while the Snapdragon 778G+ or Snapdragon 782G SoC may be used in the Poco X5 5G Pro.

According to a report by Gizmochina, a Poco phone with the model number 22111317PG is registered on Malaysia's SIRIM certification database, which raises the possibility that the smartphone may make its debut in that country under the Poco X5 5G monicker. The gadget has also been seen before in the FCC database.

The BIS authority in India has also given the 5G smartphone approval, indicating that its debut in India is about to happen. The Poco X5 5G may be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 5G, which has the model number 22101317C. The smartphone's Indian edition first appeared with the model number 22111317PI. With the same model number 22101317C, the Redmi Note 12 5G has reportedly been certified by the SIRIM listing.

The 6.67-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display from the Poco X5 series is anticipated to have a refresh rate of 120Hz on the stock 5G handset. The gadget is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, together with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, and operate on MIUI 13-based Android 12 OS. The smartphone may include a front-facing 8-megapixel camera and a triple camera arrangement at the back that consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel depth camera sensors. The smartphone is anticipated to have a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security, a 5,000mAh battery, and compatibility for 33W fast charging.

Specifications for the Poco X5 Pro 5G (expected)

The Poco X5 Pro 5G is anticipated to include an LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Either Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G+ or the recently unveiled Snapdragon 782G SoC are anticipated to power the Poco X5 Pro 5G variant. The gadget is anticipated to go on sale in five different 5G bands—n5, n7, n38, n41, n77, and n78—in China, India, and the rest of the world. The device is anticipated to run on the more recent MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13, and come with a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W of fast charging.
