In Xiaomi's native nation, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, was introduced last week in October. Now, it's been claimed that the 4G version of the phone has emerged on the IMEI database, signalling an impending availability in international markets. It is rumoured to be a Redmi Note 10 Pro rebranded version. The global variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro has the codename sweet global, according to an alleged listing for the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G.
According to a report by Xiaomiui, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G can now be seen in the IMEI database with the IMEI code sweet k6a global. The Redmi Note 10 Pro's worldwide version is known by the codename sweet global. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G will launch as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, the report asserts based on this information.
According to the source, Xiaomi had originally intended to introduce the sweet k6a global as the Redmi Note 11 Pro in 2023. However, the Chinese business has modified the model name to correspond with the most recent Note series.
According to reports, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G's model number is K6a, while the Redmi Note 10 Pro's model number is K6. The former could have specs identical to those of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, save from certain design modifications and camera improvements.
An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC, an Adreno 618 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage power the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
In October, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G was introduced in China, with the base 6GB RAM +128GB storage model starting at CNY 1699 (about Rs. 19,300).
It has a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and runs MIUI 13, an Android-12-based operating system. An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM, and a Mali-G68 GPU power the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G. The smartphone includes a 16-megapixel selfie camera in addition to a triple back camera system with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor in its centre. Other notable features of the phone include a 5,000mAh battery, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, and 67W rapid charging capabilities.
