On Monday, the Chinese manufacturer's latest entry-level smartphone, the Vivo Y02, was unveiled in India. The 6.51-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) FullView display of the Vivo 4G smartphone is powered by an unidentified octa-core MediaTek CPU. The Vivo Y02 includes a single 8-megapixel primary back camera sensor and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone is available in two different colours and supports 1TB of additional storage through a dedicated microSD card.
Vivo Y02 cost and availability in India
The only 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option of the new Vivo Y02 costs Rs. 8,999. It will be available for purchase through the Vivo E-Store as well as traditional brick and mortar retailers in the colour selections of Orchid Blue and Cosmic Grey. However, specific availability information has not yet been made public.
Recall that the 3GB + 32GB edition of the Vivo Y02 cost IDR 1,499,000 (approximately Rs. 8,000) when it was first released in Indonesia last month.

The new Vivo Y02 has a 6.51-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) FullView display and runs Funtouch OS 12 which is based on Android 12 Go Edition. The screen sports a waterdrop-shaped cutout for the selfie sensor, and the display supports Eye Protection Mode for enhanced viewing. It is driven by a MediaTek processor with eight cores, perhaps the Helio P22 SoC. 3GB of RAM is included with the chipset.
The Vivo Y02 has an 8-megapixel primary camera for optics. A 5-megapixel camera is also there at the front for taking selfies. Time-lapse photography and facial attractiveness are supported by the camera. The 32GB of internal storage that comes with the Y02 from Vivo may be expanded by microSD card (up to 1TB) via a special slot. The phone also has a Face Wake function that enables users to utilise the front camera to unlock it.
A 5,000mAh battery powers the Vivo Y02 and offers 10W wired charging and 5W reverse charging. It weighs roughly 186 grammes and has dimensions of 163.99x75.63x8.49mm.
