Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, was used by the ZTE-owned smartphone business to announce the debut of the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro series. According to rumours, the phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will be the first gaming phone in the world.

On Thursday, the Red Magic 8 Pro series was introduced according to the company's official Weibo account. A new entry on the Chinese certification website TENAA indicates that the next Red Magic 8 Pro series would have two versions, one with a 5,000mAh battery and the other with a 6,000mAh battery, according to a recent report. The 165W rapid charging capabilities of the devices from the Shenzen-based firm are supposedly 3C certified.

In addition, the TENAA entry made a clue about the anticipated SoC, which is thought to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. An earlier leak also hinted at the anticipated look of the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro. According to rumours, it will have a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 2,480 x 1,116-pixel screen resolution, slim bezels, and an under-display front camera.

Additionally, according to the ad, the phone may have 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage. Along with a 16-megapixel selfie camera, other features include a triple back camera configuration with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel tertiary camera.

The business has also revealed the timing of the launch of its next flagship Nubia Z-series device in Chinese markets. According to the company, the Nubia Z50 will be on sale in China on December 19. The forthcoming phone will have a whole new 35mm bespoke optical system that is said to improve photography. It will be driven by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm.
