According to a source, Google One VPN will be accessible for free to Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro users. As promised at the Made by Google event earlier this year, owners of the premium Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones may now access to Google's VPN for free. On a Google Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro, the VPN may be activated using the Google One app. Virtual Private Networks, or VPNs, are usually regarded as the safest way to access the internet when using public Wi-Fi since they are meant to conceal a user's identity while browsing the web and encrypt internet data.
The feature, which was intended to debut as part of the December Pixel Feature Drop, appears to have been turned on on a select devices, according to a report by 9to5Google. Due to the Google One VPN's non-availability in India, Gadgets 360 was unable to confirm availability on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
There are 17 countries where Google has released the Pixel 7 series, but not all of them will have access to the Google One VPN. According to the article, Google has verified that owners of the Pixel 7 in Singapore and India would not have access to the VPN.
Owners of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro may test this function by launching the Google One app, according to the report. A new splash screen indicating that you have free access to the VPN service as a result of your Pixel purchase will appear if the functionality is enabled on your smartphone.
According to the claim, you may control the VPN connection from a new card found in the app's Benefits area. The VPN can also be enabled or disabled. Android will display a symbol in the status bar to indicate that you are connected to the service, just like other VPN apps.
Although Google's VPN service is free on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, it appears that in order to use it on other devices, you will need to sign up for Google One's 2TB cloud storage plan, which costs $10 (or around Rs. 800) per month.
Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK, and the US are currently among the countries that offer access to the Google One VPN.
