The Google Pixel Watch is about to get its first over-the-air (OTA) update for the gadget. All devices running Wear OS 3.5 will be able to get the new update starting today, and it will then be gradually handed out over the course of the next week. Users of the Pixel Watch may upgrade the wearable gadget through OTA with the version 1.0.5.491529637 by accessing the Settings app on the device. The Google Pixel Watch update just brings repairs and improvements, not any significant new features. The December security patch may be installed together with the most recent OTA update.

The search engine giant revealed in a blog post announcing the roll out that users of the Google Pixel Watch, which is powered by Wear OS 3.5, would receive a message informing them of the most recent OTA update becoming available.

Google has outlined four adjustments and enhancements that the most recent OTA update for the Pixel Watch will offer, including a patch for each of the capabilities related to calls, settings, watch faces, and fitbit exercises.

Hands-free profile calling has been fixed and improved, and a Watch Face problem where the information was not being shown correctly has also been mitigated. On the Pixel Watch running Wear OS 3.5, a battery-saver toggle button has been added to the Settings menu. In the meantime, Fitbit exercise has received a fix for the issue where its exercise layout on the Pixel Watch Screen would occasionally be cut off.

Google previously confirmed that Pixel Watch devices would receive feature updates and software updates for up to three years in a support document. Additionally, the search engine giant pledged to regularly distribute these software upgrades for the Pixel Watch.

The Exynos 9110 SoC, which is combined with a Cortex M33 coprocessor and 2GB of RAM, powers the 1.2-inch AMOLED Google Pixel Watch, which was introduced in October.
