Previous news? | WhatsApp is working on an official WhatsApp chat on Desktop beta! |
Following a Facebook statement by Mark Zuckerberg, all users of WhatsApp for iOS and Android now have access to the ability to create polls. Within a few weeks following that formal announcement, the functionality was gradually made available to all mobile users, but it still needed to be made available to all desktop users. Since everyone using the most recent version of WhatsApp Desktop can now make polls, it appears that the functionality has now been broadly rolled out after being made available on WhatsApp beta for Windows two days ago:
Within an individual or group conversation, you may make a poll just like on WhatsApp for Android and iOS, and you can add up to 12 alternatives after inputting your question. When a respondent selects an option in your poll, you may examine the most popular response by viewing the poll information. As always, end-to-end encryption ensures that no one, even WhatsApp, can access the content of a poll. Only the people you share the poll with can see it.
After the previous distribution on the most recent version of WhatsApp Desktop, we revealed that polls were now available for WhatsApp on Android, iOS, and Windows.
