The instant messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has introduced yet another new feature for customers with Business profiles. Users will be able to search for businesses on the network, talk with them, and even shop for things using this function. With this upgrade, WhatsApp Business users will be able to search for businesses by name or explore them based on category, such as banking or tourism. It is currently only available in a small number of nations, including Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, and the UK.

According to a blog post that WhatsApp published on its website, the new feature will make it simpler for users of the Business profile to get in touch with companies using the messaging app rather than adding their phone numbers to their contacts list or looking up contact information on company websites. Currently, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, and the UK are among the countries where you can look for businesses. The WhatsApp Business Platform allows users in these nations to look for the contact information of other businesses.

In addition, users will be able to make direct purchases using WhatsApp rather than going to a website. The instant messaging service has partnered with a number of payment processors to enable users to make purchases right from the app. The feature functions similarly to the JioMart Shopping experience that was recently launched in India. More nations are now being included to the expansion. According to WhatsApp, the feature is secure and will protect users' privacy.

People will also be able to use their credit or debit card information to make a secure payment directly from a chat. For individuals and companies looking to buy and sell on WhatsApp without having to visit a website, open another app, or make a cash payment in person, "this seamless checkout experience will be a game-changer," it said.

On both the Android and iOS interfaces, WhatsApp previously released the Polls feature along with 'Communities' for group conversations. WhatsApp Polls will also be secured by end-to-end encryption, just as other app features. WhatsApp has also increased the number of group members by two and added one-tap video calling for up to 32 people.
