Xiaomi is anticipated to release its new flagship smartphone series in China soon. The business confirmed the imminent release of its new flagship smartphone powered by the recently revealed Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Xiaomi announced that it will be among the first smartphone companies to release a flagship phone powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Xiaomi 13 series was expected to get the new chipset, but it appears that the Chinese tech giant may skip a number and launch the phones under the Xiaomi 14 moniker.

At the time of writing, there has been no official announcement from the brand, but new photographs published on Weibo reveal the claimed retail box and specifications of the Xiaomi 14. There's no information on why Xiaomi skipped a number in its flagship lineup. One of the reasons might be to release flagship phones with names that correspond to the most recent MIUI upgrade. The MIUI 14 upgrade, based on Android 13, is scheduled to be released shortly. The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to ship with the current MIUI 14 version.

According to the leaked images, the Xiaomi 14 will have a Leica-tuned camera setup. The device's 'About Phone' screenshot has also leaked online, revealing the aforementioned moniker and model number. The Xiaomi 14 is suggested to have the model number 2211133C. If the screenshot is accurate, the device will boot MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The graphic also shows that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with a 3.2GHz peak clock speed. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14 will sport at least 12GB of RAM. It would not be surprising if Xiaomi released an 8GB RAM Xiaomi 14 with 128GB of internal storage.

As previously said, the corporation has not verified any facts regarding the names of its next flagship. As a result, we encourage our readers to take the stolen moniker information with a grain of salt.

If the Xiaomi 13 is released as the Xiaomi 14, it may have a 6.2-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The screen is supposed to be flat and have relatively minimal bezels surrounding it. The gadget is also expected to have a refresh rate of 120Hz. According to the leaked design images, it will include a hole-punch cutout in the top centre.

The phone might include a square-shaped camera module on the rear. It might have a triple-camera system with an LED flash. Xiaomi is expected to release the phone with a 50MP primary camera. The smartphone is believed to have a 4,500mAh battery and would enable 67W rapid charging out of the box.
