FORWARD MEDIA WITH CAPTION

The WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.15 was made available on the Play Store last week, and it allows select beta testers to transmit documents, pictures, videos, and GIFs along with their captions. This functionality was found while working on the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.5 update, and after a week, it was made available to certain beta users. Finally, we have some exciting news for iOS users: some beta testers can now forward media with the caption after installing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.23.0.72 update from the TestFlight app!

It is quite simple to find out if the function is currently accessible for your WhatsApp account, as you can see in this screenshot: simply try forwarding an image with a description and if you notice a new view at the bottom of the screen, it indicates you may start transmitting media with their caption! Although the functionality works with movies, GIFs, and documents in addition to images, we tried to transmit an image with a caption in this example.

You always have the choice of what to forward. For example, if you decide not to forward the caption with the media, you can simply do so by pressing the reject button in the forwarded message view. Please wait for a future update that will allow this function for more users if you don't already have it enabled for your account.

After installing the most recent beta version from the TestFlight app, certain beta testers were able to transmit pictures, videos, GIFs, and documents that included their captions. This feature will gradually be made available to more people over the following weeks.
