The Google Play Beta Program is now distributing a new update for WhatsApp, bringing the app's version number up to 2.22.24.4.
What has been added in this update? Once more, a select group of lucky beta testers will have access to WhatsApp's new avatar setting feature.

We reported information regarding the setting up of an avatar, which is available to select beta testers, in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.9 update. Sadly, many users were having trouble creating avatars, thus WhatsApp decided to temporarily block the service. Avatars are once more being made available to a select group of iOS beta users after the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.23.0.71 upgrade enabled the capability.

By entering WhatsApp Settings, you may see if the functionality is enabled for your account. Please wait for a subsequent update if the functionality is not currently accessible for your account.
You may start sending your avatar as a sticker once you've set it up by accessing the avatar page from the chat keyboard.
By selecting an avatar, you may personalise your profile picture.
Some fortunate beta testers already have the option to create an avatar, and more users will have it in the coming weeks.
