According to information provided by a tipper, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE, the rumoured replacement for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, may have an LCD screen and compatibility for styluses. A new Tab 8 'Fan Edition' tablet was suggested by a tablet with the model number SM-X506B back in September. Now a leaker has shared information about the device's display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE will have an LCD screen like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, which made its debut last year, according to a report from GSMArena quoting respected tipster Roland Quandt.
The document also states that a Wacom digitiser for stylus support will be included in the future tablet. It's important to note that the Galaxy Tab S7 FE's LCD screen supports the use of a stylus.
Samsung may have been developing a tablet that will be powered by a 6nm MediaTek Kompanio 900T SoC as early as September, according to a Geekbench listing for a tablet with the model number SM-X506B. According to the claim, the chipset is similar to the MediaTek Dimensity 900 and has two Cortex-A78 (at 2.4GHz), six A55 (2.0GHz), and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
The rumoured Galaxy Tab S8 FE with support for 5G connectivity would be the tablet listed on Geekbench, according to the report. A Wi-Fi-only model with the model number SM-X500 may also be released.
Additionally, according to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE will have at least 4GB of RAM and run Android 13. This means that Samsung's One UI 5, which was unveiled in October at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2022, will likely be installed on top of the tablet.
