In India, pre-orders for DualSense Edge wireless controllers for the PS5 are now open. The "ultra-customisable" PlayStation gamepads will be available in India on January 26, 2023, the same day they launch globally. Pre-orders are currently available for Rs. 18,990 on Amazon India, e2z Store, GamesTheShop, and Sony Center. Sony's newest product appears to not have regional pricing since it costs $199.99 (about Rs. 16,300) in the US. On October 25, pre-orders outside of India became available, over a month before India had their chance.
In essence, Sony's (very belated) reaction to Xbox's Elite Series of controllers is the PS5 DualSense Edge. This is the first attempt by the corporation to offer customizable controllers; in the past, players had to rely on independent retailers like Scuf Gaming to get features like this. Additionally, while those demonstrated their hardware capabilities, PlayStation is raising the stakes with software options to create a customised gaming experience. Key features include switchable stick caps, button remapping, and special profile settings that can be switched based on the game.
Sony has announced that the DualSense Edge controllers will be sold by participating shops beginning February 23, 2023, after the pre-order period. Keep in mind that this date was chosen with consideration for the client base outside of India, and that India selling dates may vary. The interchangeable stick module, which costs $19.99 (about Rs. 1,700), was announced by PlayStation in October, but it hasn't shown on any of the Indian digital shops mentioned above.
The DualSense Edge controller for the PS5 is delivered in a white carrying case with a USB-C charging connector. There are also two pairs of back buttons and three pairs of swappable thumbstick caps, the latter of which has the advantage of being able to be programmed to accept additional inputs. very much like the side buttons on a gaming mouse. Standard, high-dome, and low-dome analogue stick caps can all be changed to accommodate different finger alignments.
Pre-orders for the PS5 DualSense Edge controller are currently available on Amazon India, e2z Store, GamesTheShop, and Sony Center. It will be on sale January 26, 2023.
