On Thursday evening, Zoom, one of the most popular video-calling apps, issued a statement after thousands of users reported problems with the platform on Downdetector.com. After receiving over 40,000 complaints about problems while using the video-conferencing platform, Zoom assured users that it is actively working to resolve the issue. Within an hour, the platform issued another announcement stating that the problem had been resolved and that users should no longer experience any difficulties. The problems have been reported from all over the world, including India.
According to Downdetector, around 40,377 users reported having problems with Zoom on Thursday evening. These issues were encountered in India between 8pm and 9.30pm IST.
While the majority of complaints were about difficulties connecting to conferences or meetings, users also reported problems with server connection and logging in.
Soon after, Zoom issued a statement on Twitter, assuring users that the company is aware of the problem and is actively working to resolve it. The video-conferencing platform also stated that its engineering team is looking into the matter.
Within an hour, the company tweeted again, informing users that the problem had been resolved and that the app should now work properly for everyone.
