YouTube recently raised the quantity and frequency of non-skippable commercials that are shown to viewers while they are viewing videos. According to user claims on Twitter and Reddit, an increasing number of viewers claim to have seen up to ten non-skippable adverts on YouTube in a succession. Following customer concerns from throughout the world, the Google-owned company has declared that the trial with adverts is coming to an end. The video streaming service uses advertisements to fund the platform and producers.
According to Reddit and Twitter user accounts, YouTube was playing up to ten unskippable adverts before the selected video even began. On Twitter, the firm recently responded to a user's concern about the unexpected spike of unskippable commercials by stating that they are "bumper ads," which run for up to 6 seconds.
According to 9to5Google, a YouTube spokesman stated that the company's experiment with adverts has now "ended."
According to the story, a YouTube spokeswoman said "We at YouTube are committed to assisting companies in connecting with audiences all over the world, and we are always experimenting innovative methods to expose advertising that improve the viewing experience. When viewers viewed lengthier movies on linked TVs, we launched a tiny experiment that displayed many adverts in one ad pod. By decreasing commercial breaks, the idea is to provide a better experience for viewers. This modest experiment has come to an end."
By subscribing to YouTube Premium, users may permanently prevent watching advertisements. In India, the yearly YouTube Premium plan costs Rs. 1,290, while the monthly YouTube Premium Family plan is Rs. 189. For new members, the firm also provides a 30-day free trial.
