Several of Oppo's products would no longer come with a charging adapter, a company executive reportedly stated during a launch event. The CEO, however, would not say which Oppo products will not come with a charging brick within the box. According to the article, the choice will be put into effect the next year, and the business will continue to include SuperVOOC chargers in the box. Although the motivation for the choice has not been made public, it may be an effort to reduce e-waste.

A charging adaptor won't be included in the box of several of Oppo's upcoming devices, the company's president of overseas sales and services, Billy Zhang, said during the Oppo Reno 8 series' launch event in Europe, according to a report by Android Police. According to reports, the decision will be put into effect in the next 12 months.

Zhang did not specify which gadgets will not have a charging adapter in the box, though. According to the report, Zhang's remarks imply that the action may be restricted to particular areas and that it will rely on the product. According to Zhang, Oppo would keep including SuperVOOC charging adapters because it was difficult for customers to obtain these chargers.

Zhang stated that Oppo will still sell its regular charging adapters in stores. According to this, consumers would be able to purchase charging bricks and utilise them with any future upgrades to their smartphones. Zhang did not specify why Oppo followed other smartphone manufacturers who stopped shipping chargers with new models, but the newspaper speculates that it may be a strategy to cut down on e-waste.

Notably, this choice may also have an impact on OnePlus, who recently merged development teams with Oppo. However, neither Oppo nor OnePlus have provided any updates on this front.

Oppo introduced the Oppo A57e in India earlier today. It has an HD+ resolution 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen. The display can reach a peak brightness of up to 600 nits, according to the manufacturer. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging capabilities and an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC.
