The Dimensity 700-powered Y75 5G and the Helio G96-powered Y75 4G were both introduced by vivo earlier this year. The company just unveiled the Y75s, which uses the Dimensity 700 chip to broaden its Y series.
The smartphone includes 256GB of internal storage with the possibility to increase it up to 1TB through a microSD card and a MediaTek SoC with up to 12GB RAM. On the software front, you receive OriginOS Ocean, which is built on outdated Android 11 rather than Android 12 (Android 13 isn't expected out of the box).
The 6.58" FullHD+ LCD used in the vivo Y75s has a 401ppi pixel density, a 120Hz touch sampling rate, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The 64MP primary camera is located inside a rectangular island on the back of the display, which also sports a notch for an 8MP selfie camera. An 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera are added to it.
The 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and USB-C are among the other attractions of the vivo Y75s. The smartphone boasts 18W charging and a 5,000 mAh battery in addition to 5G connectivity. If this all sounds familiar, it's because the vivo Y75s is a 16MP selfie camera version of the Y72 5G (not the Indian variety), which was released last March.
The memory options for the vivo Y75s are 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. While the latter costs CNY2,199 ($315/€318), the former is priced at CNY1,899 ($272/€274). On Vivo's official Chinese website, both models are mentioned, although their release date is unknown.
