Google started putting out its monthly security patch on Wednesday in the afternoon. This month's release is timed to the arrival of the first patch for all supported Google Pixel phones following the arrival of the public build of Android 13. There are numerous improvements included in this version for problems caused by the Android 13 release.
The patch will address the excessive battery drain brought on by specific wallpapers and resolve a problem wherein wireless charging would occasionally fail to activate. A fault that periodically prevented some devices from connecting to Bluetooth, a bug that prevented some alerts from displaying correctly on the lock screen, and a patch for the fingerprint scanner are also fixed.
Our September software update begins rolling out today to all supported Pixel devices running #Android13 and will continue over the next week. The updates include improvements to:
Battery & charging
Bluetooth connectivity
User interface
