Previous news?WhatsApp news of the week: assign chats to linked devices

Thanks to the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.19.19 upgrade, we first learned about this feature last week. We discovered the specifics on the capability to show the phone number visibility immediately within a business chat. In fact, we mentioned that, in some circumstances, it will be possible to contact specific businesses via a Click to WhatsApp ad without disclosing your phone number to them, and this is precisely what is being worked on for WhatsApp Desktop beta:

This screenshot shows a new option beneath chat info that will allow us to determine whether the company can view our phone number. It should be noted that we discovered the same option while testing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.17.23, indicating that WhatsApp is still working on this functionality for all of their platforms.

Your phone number may not always be disguised when calling businesses, as we stated in our earlier articles. In certain situations, it may be hidden while contacting the business through an advertisement. Since this is crucial, we'd rather draw attention to it multiple times. In the future, we'll figure out exactly when it is concealed.

Unfortunately, we do not yet know when this feature will be made available to users and it is still in development. However, we will let you know as soon as we have any significant updates.
