We have learned that the same capability would be included in a subsequent update of WhatsApp Desktop beta after we posted information about a new feature that is in development and allows users to modify messages.

Since the last update on message editing, a long time has passed, but now we have some fresh information to share with you. Thankfully, WhatsApp still intends to provide the ability to edit messages in a subsequent version of the programme and has not given up on developing it. In fact, we learned that WhatsApp is presently working on introducing the capacity to modify messages in a subsequent release of the Desktop app:
This screenshot demonstrates how WhatsApp is creating a new view that allows users to enter the text that will substitute for the original message. Since this function is still being developed, there are currently no restrictions on the amount of time that users have to change their messages. Additionally, an edit history shouldn't be accessible, but as this feature is still being developed, it might be added before it is made available in the future. In any event, we'll keep you informed as soon as we learn more.
Unfortunately, because it is still in development, we do not know when consumers will be able to use this function. However, you can be sure that we will publish another article when we have new information to share with you.
