Previous news? | WhatsApp for Android 2.22.19.72: what’s new? WhatsApp is releasing the ability to change the app language within WhatsApp Settings! |
We announced news about a new feature named "Report bugs" in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.19.12 upgrade. This feature will allow users to report flaws for a future version. Not only this, but WhatsApp also intends to shift the privacy section to the main settings page. This was made clear to us by the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.20.4 upgrade.
This screenshot demonstrates how the privacy area will move from your account settings to the main settings panel. As usual, we can manage all of our blocked contacts here, as well as access all of our privacy settings and message timing options.
We do not know why WhatsApp intends to shift it between all other important options, but it's likely that they do so to make it easier for users to find. Thanks to the most recent additions (My contacts except and the default message timer), this section has grown significantly in importance over the years. Soon, it will also include a setting that will allow us to conceal our online presence on WhatsApp.
This modification is in the works and will likely appear in a subsequent app version. As always, when there is news to share with you, we'll keep you informed.
