More huge animated heart emoticons are a new feature that select beta testers have access to, as we reported in the post about WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.18.8. Any heart emoji will now be animated in the same way as the standard red heart emoji thanks to this feature.
After some time, a user tweeted that the orange heart emoji was incompatible with this feature. He was correct because WhatsApp had forgotten to add the orange heart emoji to its list of compatible emojis. We discovered that the following is exactly what has changed in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.20.6 update:
The orange heart emoji is now completely compatible with the animation, as you can see in this video capture. Simply send it to a discussion to see it appear animated!
After installing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.18.8 update, the new animation for these emojis has indeed been released, however it may not have reached all beta testers, which means it may still not be accessible to everyone. If any of the heart emojis in this situation are not animated, it signifies that WhatsApp does not yet support that functionality, and you will need to wait for a future upgrade to enable it.
