Wearables saw increase in the third quarter, while smart bands declined.

 According to a recently published Canalys report, shipments of smart wearables increased by 2% globally in Q2 2022 compared to Q1.


41.7 million smart wearables, including basic bands and smartwatches, were shipped globally in total. Basic watches saw a significant 46.6% growth in shipment volume, while smartwatches (watches with apps) saw a 9.3% gain.


Sales of simple smart bands dropped by 35.5%, though.




With 8.4 million watches shipped, or 26.4% of the market, Apple took the lead. With 2.8 million handsets supplied, Samsung beat Huawei into second place, while Huawei had 2.6 million.


Local Indian noise saw a staggering 382% surge in shipments, reaching 1.8 million. BoAT, Noise, and Fire-Boltt have all experienced resounding success, averaging about 1 million shipments per quarter.

With a 15% market share in Q2 2022, India's sales growth enabled it to attain its biggest market share ever.
