Gmail is one of the many free web services offered by Google. Worldwide, both professionals and regular people use the search engine giant's email service for online communication. In order to compete with Outlook and other well-known email services like Gmail, Google has enhanced Gmail's features.

Gmail just launched offline mailing capability as one of its new features. In one of our tips and tricks articles, we discussed how to use Gmail's email services offline. This post will walk you through another step-by-step process for adding your digital signature to Gmail.

For those who are unaware, Gmail allows you to add an email signature exactly like Outlook and other popular email services. Your digital signature, which Google lets you add, will be automatically appended as a footer after each email and will include your contact information as well as a favourite quote. Look below if you want to know the steps:

Adding A Digital Signature In Gmail: Steps

Step 1: Go to the Gmail website or open the Gmail app on your respective smartphones.

Step 2: Tap on the Settings menu placed on the top right of the Gmail home page.

Step 3: Scroll down to the “Signature” tab.

Step 4: A new box will open where you can add the text you wish to set as your digital signature. You can also add an image along with the text and also customize the font as per requirements. Just for reference, the word limit set for a digital signature on Gmail is 10,000 characters.

Step 5: Once you have added the desired signature, click on Save Changes from the bottom.

The simplest method for adding your signature to Gmail is the one described above. But Google didn't stop there; they also improved Gmail's signature feature. You have the option to add a personalised signature to many Gmail email addresses, so you are not need to create a single signature for all emails.

You would need to use the Send Mail option for this. You have the choice to add a distinct signature for each address if you currently use Gmail's "Send mail as" feature.

Step 1: Open Gmail and go to the Settings menu.

Step 2: Right above the signature box, you’ll see a drop-down menu to select an address.

Step 3: You can also open the Accounts and Import settings page if you don’t see the drop-down menu for the address.

Step 4: Just select the address from the “Send Mail as” section and add the signature.
