The PlayStation 5 now supports 1440p, and the global rollout of this feature began today. For gamers who use 1440p monitors, this is perfect. Well, not quite ideal.
Only 60Hz and 120Hz output are supported by 1440p; variable refresh rate (VRR) is not supported. Only the 1080p and 2160p modes support VRR.
Aside from resolution adjustments, this update makes "gamelists," or simply folders, possible. You can make up to 15 gamelists, each of which can contain up to 100 items (these could be on disc, digital and streaming games).
Additionally, by displaying the last activity you were involved in when you last played, this update makes it simpler to resume a game. And it is now much simpler to try out 3D Audio if you want to. to toggle between it and the regular Stereo Audio to see which you prefer.
YouTube search through voice commands is a brand-new function that is currently in preview. You may say “Hey, PlayStation, find [keyword] on YouTube” and the YouTube app will show up and execute the search (even during gameplay) (even during gameplay). For the time being (remember, this is a preview), it should be noted that this is only accessible to PS5 players registered in the US and the UK and only in English.
The PS App for Android and iOS will receive some significant changes later this month in addition to the new features that are currently being rolled out.
You can start a PS Remote Play session from your phone or tablet once the app has been updated; just make sure the PlayStation 5 is in rest mode.
