Ice Universe shared the actual dimensions of the Galaxy S23 series last week. They were largely the same as the corresponding S22 versions, except for a millimetre or two in height and breadth. Ice has discovered the source of the additional 0.3mm on the Galaxy S23, and the Cat is not pleased.
The solution is purportedly 0.15mm bezels on all four corners of the panel (which will stay at 6.1"). This precisely accounts for the 0.3mm increase in height and breadth for next year's model over the current one.
The Galaxy S23+ is 0.4mm taller and broader than its predecessor, implying that the bezels would be 0.2mm thicker (the display will remain the same size).as presently, 6.6").
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is likewise somewhat bigger than its predecessor (+0.1mm height, +0.2mm width), suggesting that it may suffer the same fate.
Is the extra 0.15mm on the S23's four bezels really that significant? According to Ice Universe, the leakster is "obsessed" with reduced bezels. They do make a valid argument, however: newer models should be better than older ones, yet we haven't heard of any display upgrades (the S23 and S23+ will apparently retain FHD+ resolution, while the Ultra will retain QHD+).
