A source just leaked the Huawei P50 Pocket New purported poster, which features a couple of its characteristics. It is thought that Huawei is on the verge of releasing a new, somewhat cheaper model of the P50 Pocket foldable smartphone to the market. For the time being, this device is known as the 'Huawei P50 Pocket New,' and it is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. The model number BAL-AL80 for this clamshell folding device has also appeared on the TENAA certification portal. It is believed to have an improved battery with a capacity of 4,260mAh.

Teme (@RODENT950) recently tweeted that the Huawei P50 Pocket New would be powered by a Snapdragon 778G SoC. In comparison, the P50 Pocket, which was released in December of last year, has a Snapdragon 888 4G SoC. According to the claimed leaked poster, this new edition will not have a cover display.

The P50 Pocket New is expected to arrive in China with 256GB and 512GB onboard storage options priced at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 60,000) and CNY 6,999 (about Rs. 80,000). These prices are much cheaper than the previous P50 Pocket's launch costs of CNY 8,988 (about Rs. 1,05,000) for the 256GB model and CNY 10,988 (approximately Rs. 1,25,000) for the 512GB variation.

According to the leaked poster, the P50 Pocket New would be available in Crystal White and Obsidian Black. It is supposed to be equipped with an XMAGE ultra-wide picture sensor. The foldable smartphone appears to have a single 120Hz OLED screen. It could be compatible with HarmonyOS 3.

Huawei's new clamshell foldable smartphone has also been posted on the TENAA certification website. The model number of the listed smartphone is BAL-AL80. This handset's precise characteristics are not revealed in the listing. However, it is believed to have a 4,260mAh battery, which is a 260mAh increase over the P50 Pocket's battery capacity.
