According to a MacRumors story based on reported mockups of the smartphone from a source, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro might include the traditional battery percentage indicator with the percentage level and the battery icon situated side by side in the top corner of the display.
Since checking your phone's battery level is the one feature that shouldn't require you to go through a complicated process, the more clarity and ease you have in doing so, the more comfortable you'll be using the phone. More or less, it is similar to checking the time on your phone.
Most of the time, you can check it by turning on the display or by simply staring at the blank screen. Instead of having to estimate whether the phone battery level is 40%, 35%, or 32%, checking the battery level should be just as simple.
With the rumoured elongated pill-shaped cutout above the display, which should give adequate room for both the numeric representation of the battery and the battery level, what has been suggested in the mockup is also looking plausible.
It only makes it easier than having to check the battery percentage indicator in the iOS 1 beta, which only provides the icon (without the percentage levels), and to validate the battery levels you predicted, you have to go to the settings to find out where exactly the battery levels are at.
Additionally, Apple might experiment with moving the cell service symbol to the left of the display while the phone is locked and retaining the notification centre and battery indication to the right due to the fact that the elimination of the notch from the design would create more room.
