A senior official at Xiaomi announced on Weibo that the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition gaming laptop will debut in China on September 7. AMD Ryzen 7 series processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card are rumoured to be included. The Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition gaming laptop could be a variant of the Redmi G (2022) gaming laptop that was introduced earlier this year with Intel processors. Other nations have not yet seen the introduction of the laptop. This is allegedly the first Pro-series gaming laptop made by the firm.
Redmi's general manager, Lu Weibing, teased the release of the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition gaming laptop with two tweets on Weibo. The CEO claims in the first post that the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU will power the next Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition gaming laptop. Additionally, he claims that the laptop will have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. According to Weibing's second article, the laptop would come with a 170W power adaptor.
According to the photographs published by Weibing with each of the postings shared on Weibo, the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition gaming laptop will be released and available for pre-order on September 7 in China.
Earlier this year, Redmi released the Redmi G (2022) gaming laptop in China, equipped with Intel 12th generation processors. Both of these laptops might have different processors and GPUs, but they might have the same design, display, speakers, and connectors. We will have to treat this development with scepticism since there is no information at this time.
Launched with up to 16GB of DDR5 RAM, 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and up to Intel Core-i7 12th generation processors, the Redmi G (2022) has 16-inch LCD displays with 2,560x1,600 resolution. The laptop is powered by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. It features two 2W speakers with DTS:X Ultra compatibility, as well as HDMI 2.1, RH45, Thunderbolt, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.2 ports and a plethora of networking choices.
