In May 2021, OPPO Reno 8 5G was unveiled in China. The Reno 8 5G was one of several items that OPPO unveiled in July, along with the Reno 8 Pro 5G, the OPPO Pad, and the Enco X2 TWS earbuds. Along with its two brothers, the Reno 8 Pro 5G and Reno 8 Lite, it has now also arrived in Europe. Early Reno 8 trio purchasers in Europe will receive a complimentary pair of Enco X2 headphones worth 199 euros as well as an extended 3-year warranty.
In India, the Reno 8 5G costs Rs 29,999 (about $376), in the UK, £419, and other European nations, 599 euros. It competes with smartphones with comparable price tags like the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, POCO F4 5G, and iQOO. Neo 6 5G, and Nothing Phone (1). Here is a full review of the Reno 8 5G to see how it stacks up against its rivals.
What’s in the box
The OPPO Reno 8 5G retail box includes the phone, an 80W SuperVOOC charger, a USB-C charging cable, a tool for ejecting the SIM card, a transparent plastic cover, and some documentation.
Display and Design
The OPPO Reno 8 5G's design is one of its main draws. As you can see in the pictures, OPPO sent me the Reno 8 5G in the colour Shimmer Gold. Although the Reno 8 5G has a stylish design, readers should be informed that the frame and back are made of polycarbonate. Some would argue that given the Reno 8 5G's pricing, the manufacturer ought to have provided a glass chassis.
However, I think the Reno 8 5G's color-changing rear shell is just plain attractive.and boasts a premium look. It shows different shades of gold, pink, blue, and green when viewed from different angles. I believe that the brand really knows how to make good-looking smartphones. Another good thing about the phone’s back is that it is resistant to fingerprint marks and smudges. However, it does appear a bit slippery.
