Although the Huawei nova 10 Pro made its debut in China in July, it is now formally offered in Europe. We had the opportunity to interact with the newcomer for a few hours and provide you with a hands-on.
There are two front-facing cameras on the Huawei Nova 10 Pro, one of which is a 60MP ultrawide selfie camera while the other is an 8MP portrait selfie camera. On the other side, if we include the 2MP depth sensor, we have three extra cameras: a 50MP wide-angle camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera that actually do the work.
Pictures of the nova 10 Pro's noticeable camera hump do not do it justice. This item, which is two halves with various height levels, must be seen in person. Huawei refers to it as a star orbit ring, and it is flashy. It's a great touch, and we appreciate the not-so-subtle golden accent.
The back of the phone is a bright silver colour. It can occasionally end up seeming purple as it absorbs various accent colours from its surroundings.
The Huawei nova 10 Pro feels light despite weighing 191g. It might be due to good balance, or it might be that after handling too many large smartphones from the Pro Max and Ultra camps, our perception has been influenced.
The display is beautiful. It is a 6.78-inch OLED with rich colours and contrast, a quick refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a high level of brightness. The display spills to the sides and the edges are very clearly curved.
Let's talk about the Huawei nova 10 Pro's battery and, more crucially, its charging capabilities before we discuss the cameras. The 4,500mAh cell supports 100W charging, allowing you to charge from 20% to 80% in just 10 minutes. We looked atthis and it's right on the money. What's even more impressive is the fact that the phone didn't get overly hot in the process.
Another great thing? The 100W charger comes in the box, something that's becoming even more of a rarity these days.
