A new model of the Pixel Tablet is currently being developed by Google, and it will be released at some point in 2019. However, it seems that this tablet won't be the only option; a more expensive Pro model is also in the works.

The information was discovered by 9To5Google when looking through the most recent Android 13 source code. The Pixel Tablet Pro is thought to be the "tangorpro" that was mentioned in the code. For those who are unaware, the Pixel Tablet's codename is "tangor," therefore this essentially indicates that a more expensive model is also currently being developed.

Unfortunately, further specific information on the Pixel Tablet Pro is not yet available. Although, it does appear that Pro variant will feature a different rear camera sensor compared to the based Pixel Tablet model. Based on what we know so far, the Pixel Tablet is confirmed to be arriving soon and will run on the same proprietary Tensor series chipsets that also power its Google Pixel 6 series of smartphones.

Additionally, it's thought that the Pixel Tablet will enable styluses as well, however it's not known if this functionality is built into the tablet itself. Other Android codes have also suggested that this product is a budget-friendly tablet with respectable specs. If this is the case, the Search Engine giant would probably give the Pixel Tablet Pro more enhancements than the standard tablet model.
