After winning the 5G spectrum auction as the highest bidder, Reliance Jio is set to provide the nation to its most anticipated services. On August 15, the telecom provider is anticipated to introduce or start 5G services. It should be noted that Jio is the telecom provider who has acquired spectrum in the 700MHz band.
Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani recently announced that they will mark "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" with a pan-India 5G rollout. This is noteworthy.
"Jio is dedicated to providing top-notch, reasonably priced 5G and 5G-enabled services. We will offer services, platforms, and solutions to hasten India's digital transformation, particularly in key industries like e-Government, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, and education.
Due to its widespread fibre footprint, all-IP network without any legacy infrastructure, in-house 5G stack, and solid international connections throughout the technology ecosystem, Jio is fully prepared for 5G rollout in the least amount of time, according to the firm.
In August, Airtel may roll out 5G services.
In addition to Reliance Jio, Airtel, India's second-largest telecom provider, is anticipated to launch 5G services in August. This news comes shortly after Airtel said that it had partnered with Ericsson, Samsung, and Nokia to roll out 5G services gradually.
Airtel's MD and CEO, Gopal Vittal, announced that the company would start rolling out 5G services in August. Our network agreements are finalised, and Airtel will collaborate with the top global technology partners to provide our customers with all the advantages of 5G connection.
"Telecom will be at the forefront of India's shift to a digital economy, and 5G offers a game-changing chance to accelerate the digital transformation of industries, enterprises, and India's socio-economic development," he continued.
