Samsung, like Apple and Google, offers a testing programme for users who wish to actively engage in the development of the latest version of the operating system by providing input. The Android 13 beta testing programme is now available, and we'll teach you how to sign up and participate in the development of One UI 5.
We do not advocate installing One UI 5 with Android 13 on your primary smartphone because it is still in the early stages of development. If you opt to install the Beta 1, you do it at your own risk.
How to Enroll in the One UI Beta Program
Samsung's beta testing programme is accessible to all users and provides an opportunity to test out One UI's new features before their official release. Participants in the One UI Beta Program may now be found in China, Germany, India, Poland, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In addition, only users of Galaxy S22 series handsets will be permitted to participate in the testing programme for the time being. In the following weeks, Samsung is anticipated to expand the beta testing programme to include foldable devices.
Important: Before installing the beta version, make a backup of your computer's data using Smart Switch.
To get an Android 13 experience on your Galaxy S22 mobile, first join the One UI Beta Test Program. You must first download and install the Samsung Members app. After that, simply follow these six steps:
Click the Registration for One UI Beta (S22/S22+/S22 Ultra) option in the Samsung Members app.
Then, go to the One UI Beta Program banner and click the Register Now button.
You must now agree to the service's terms of service. The app should utilise your SIM card data to authenticate your location in this case. Please ensure that your SIM card is correctly inserted before proceeding.
After that, the package containing the installation file for the updated system version will be instantly transmitted to your Galaxy device through Over the Air (OTA).
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your phone. Once the file has been downloaded, click the Install Now button.
You will need to reset your Galaxy S22 mobile here. After that, your phone will be running the new One UI 5 beta version based on Android 13.
As with Android 13, One UI 5 does not include any big modifications; instead, it improves the user interface, notifications, security, camera software, and other system aspects. Our testing was conducted in Germany on a Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone, and we have found no serious flaws in this beta version thus far.
However, if you encounter any issues, Samsung provides the chance to provide feedback on the beta version via the Samsung Members applications. Open the app and go to Beta feedback > Send feedback.
So, have you loaded the latest Samsung skin on your Galaxy S22 device? What are your thoughts on the modifications made in Beta 1? Do you think it's a good idea to install One UI 5 at this early stage of development?
