A few years ago, Lenovo unveiled the ThinkPad X1 Fold, the first laptop in the world with a foldable display. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 is the most recent model of the gadget that is currently offered.

After receiving feedback on the first generation product, which served as a proof of concept, the company released this second-generation version. When comparing this new smartphone to its predecessor, virtually everything in the company has changed or improved.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold's display is its best feature. The gadget has a 16.3-inch foldable Samsung OLED screen with a 2024 x 2560 pixel resolution. It features 100% DCI-P3, 600 nits of brightness, On-cell Touch with Pen support, and all three versions of Dolby Vision.

The device feels like a laptop when folded, shrinking to a 12-inch display and having a Bluetooth keyboard that can be paired with it. As a point of perspective, the display on the original X1 Fold was 13.3 inches, but it folded down to 8 inches.

It now includes a haptic touchpad and a bigger, full-sized keyboard. It is charged using USB Type-C and connects using Bluetooth 5.2. The laptop reportedly satisfies the MIL-STD-810H durability criteria, according to the firm.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 will be sold starting in November for a starting price of $2,499 and will be available for purchase.
