According to a previous report, OnePlus is rumoured to release a new smartphone at the end of this year with the SM8550 SoC, which is anticipated to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The alleged OnePlus phone may be the OnePlus 11 Pro because the smartphone company didn't release a standard OnePlus 10 device. The business has not yet made the next generation smartphone series official. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is anticipated to be introduced by Qualcomm during the Snapdragon Summit in mid-November.

Weibo, a Chinese microblogging platform, has received information from tipper Digital Chat Station that suggests OnePlus may introduce a new smartphone by the end of the year that will use the SM8550 processor. The tipper claimed that "texture and performance" would be the next phone's main priorities (translated). Given that OnePlus didn't release a standard OnePlus 10 this year, the rumoured smartphone may be the OnePlus 11 Pro.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is housed in the SM8550 chipset, according to a previous rumour. The smartphone might be introduced following the Snapdragon Summit. The company's events page states that Qualcomm will host the event between November 15 and November 17. The business is anticipated to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC at the event.

Recall that in March of this year, the OnePlus 10 Pro was introduced in India. In January, the smartphone made its debut in China.

The OnePlus 10 Pro offers a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. Additionally, the display has an adaptable refresh rate that may vary between 1Hz and 120Hz. Additionally, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus is used to protect the touchscreen. It has an internal storage capacity of up to 256GB and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It has a 32-megapixel front selfie camera and a 48-megapixel triple rear camera configuration. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports cable charging @ 80W SuperVOOC.
