A sample of what will be included in the upcoming Pixel Feature Drop update is available in the Android 13 QPR1 beta. The operating system is currently being improved by Google, and it has been reported that the update would include several capabilities that will eventually be made available to everyone. It has been made accessible for testing on compatible smartphones in order to make sure the functionalities are functioning properly. All Pixel smartphones that are supported already have access to Android 13.

Google is developing a number of new features for the next Pixel Feature Drop update, according to a series of tweets by Esper Senior Technical Editor Mishaal Rehman. Rehman also lists a few features that have been said to be coming but have not yet been included in the Android 13 QPR1 beta version that is part of the October 2022 Google Play System Update.

The mention of a Google Pixel tablet is one of the most notable additions in the Android 13 QPR1 beta update. Rehman claims that developer Kuba Wojciechowski discovered two animations that tease the anticipated Google Pixel Tablet (which is rumoured to be a hybrid Nest Hub detachable) as well as a tablet that is working while charging.

The inclusion of spatial audio, a technique that captures audio impulses and applies directional audio filters to produce a more immersive soundscape with compatible devices, is the second key feature in the Android 13 QPR1 beta release. Some Apple devices presently support this capability. Additionally, it appears that a new toggle to "allow Bluetooth LE audio" has been added to the developer settings. Rehman points out that the device must support LE Audio in order for the feature to be activated.

The developer also discovered Opus (and LC3) accessible codecs in the Bluetooth Audio Codec choices in the Android 13 QPR1 beta version, which are most likely for BT Classic Audio streaming.

Google is reportedly working on a feature called "clear calling" that will supposedly lessen background disturbances during calls, according to the Android 13 QPR1 beta update. Rehman notes that although it apparently functions "for most cell networks," it is "not available for Wi-Fi calling" and the contents of your calls are "not transferred to Google."

There is a new "Safety Center," which is nothing more than a collection of settings for security and privacy. The rumoured Pixel 6 Pro face unlock feature is not mentioned. Additionally, Android 13 will display warranty information for the device as well as "Battery health" statistics based on performance (this feature may be specific to Google Pixel devices).
