Earlier this week, Motorola announced the Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion smartphones in India. It debuted in China as a rebranded version of the Motorola X30 Pro. The Edge 30 Ultra is equipped with flagship characteristics and features. The smartphone was unveiled by the Lenovo-owned company in a single 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage configuration for Rs 59,999.
The Edge 30 Ultra got an extraordinary reaction from customers. As a result, Motorola has stated on its social media accounts that, due to popular demand, the Edge 30 Ultra will be released in a 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage combination. The actual release date and price of the smartphone are currently unknown. However, the pricing will most likely be more than the 8GB + 128GB variant.The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra features a 6.73-inch punch-hole OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. It has an embedded fingerprint scanner and supports HDR10+.
On the rear panel of the Edge 30 Ultra is a rectangular camera module. It is the first smartphone in the world to use a 200MP main Samsung ISOCELL HP1 camera sensor. The primary lens is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens. The Edge 30 Ultra has a 60MP selfie camera on the front.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU powers the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for125W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Software-wise, the Edge 30 Ultra runs on the stock Android 12 OS. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
