Today, a new Xperia smartphone will be unveiled at an event hosted by Sony. Although the Japanese company hasn't stated it outright, the new smartphone is probably the Sony Xperia 5 IV. You can follow along with us by tuning to the webcast below starting at 7AM UTC to watch the launch event live.
According to rumours, the Sony Xperia 5 IV will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a triple camera configuration with three 12MP cameras on the back (primary, telephoto, ultrawide). The IMX557 sensor is reportedly used by the primary camera.
The Xperia 5 IV is anticipated to include a 6.1" Gorilla Glass Victus-coated screen and a larger battery than the 4,500 mAh found in the Xperia 5 III. cell.
