The famed photography company Leica recently unveiled the Leica Cine 1, an ultra-short throw (UST) laser projector it refers to as a laser TV and which it believes has transformed the way we will watch television in the future.

There will be 80-inch and 100-inch sets for the Leica Cine 1. The cost of the Leica Cine 1 projector for the 80-inch and 100-inch projector units is approximately 6900 and 7900 USD, respectively. Regarding the display, Leica is offering its unique ambient light rejection (ALR) screens that are compatible with the Leica Cine 1 at 1600 USD and 1800 USD for the 80-inch and 100-inch screens respectively.
Although users can still choose third-party projector screens, Leica advises using its ambient light rejection (ALR) screens with its Leica Cine 1 UST laser projector for the optimum viewing experience. For a total of 9700 USD, you could get a 100-inch Leica Cine 1 configuration, making it a "laser TV."

A release for China and the US is planned for Q3 2023 and Q4 2023, respectively. The Leica Cine 1 will go on sale in Europe starting in Q2 2023.
