Apple released a new software update today, but this one is a little different because it's for older models that the company no longer supports—at least not with its most recent iOS releases.

The iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, original iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and even the sixth-generation iPod touch are among the iPhones and iPads still running iOS 12.5.6, which is already being distributed to them.

The new update's build number is 16H71, and it fixes a security flaw in WebKit that might result in arbitrary code execution. According to Apple, this issue "may have been actively exploited," thus the company is "aware of a report."

Therefore, if you still own one of the aforementioned older devices, it should go without saying that you should download and apply this update as soon as you can. You ought to have already gotten the notification to obtain it; it's a 275MB download. If not, you may always access the software update via Settings > General > Software Update.
